The trek from Kharta to Kangsung , the
eastern face of the Everest , is one of the most gorgeous
in the world. It takes 8 days for round trip . The
entire region from Kharta to the Kama valley , extending
to the Arun valley in Nepal, is a part of the blessed
land of Guru Rinpoche, known as " Belyul Khebalung"
or the hidden valley. The region has holy lakes, mountains,
and the sacred "Kharta Thechu" the long
- life water spring.

Day 01:
Arrive Kathmandu
Day 02: A free day in
Kathmandu. (optional guided sightseeing
tour)
Day 03: Fly Kathmandu
to Lhasa. Acclimatization
Day 04 & 05: Sightseeing
tour of Lhasa city
Day 06: Drive west along
the new highway following the Tsangpo
River to Shigatse (12,651ft). Visit Tashilunpo
Monastery
Day 07: Heading south
towards the main chain of the Himalaya,
drive across the Tsuo La (14,790ft) and
the Gyamtso La (17,126ft) to Shegar
Day 08: Leaving the
main highway, climb to the Pang La (17,060ft)
where we have a spectacular view of Everest.
We then descend to Kharta (12,149ft).
Camp.
Day 09: From Kharta our
first day of trekking takes us to the
village of Landrubling (13,091ft) on a
shelf above the Kharta Valley. Camp.
Day 10: Climb a moraine
ridge to twin lakes below the Shao La,
where we have good views of Makalu and
Chomolonzo. Camp would be set up at an
altitude of 14,961 feet.
Day 11: Cross the Shao
La (16,306ft) and make the rocky descent
to a meadow site above the Karma Tsangpo
(13,123ft). Camp.
Day 12: Today’s
varied trek takes us through juniper forest
and by way of herders camps. We finally
cross a ridge to a camping place at 14,108
feet.
Day 13: We continue up
valley to reach the meadows of Pethang
Ringmo (14,928ft), the site of the traditional
basecamp for routes on the Kangshung side
of Everest. Camp.
Day 14: This is a day
for exploration, with the option of taking
a day-hike up to a viewpoint for the east
face of Everest. Camp at Pethang Ringmo.
Day 15: We retrace our
steps as far as the Rabka Chu, where we
turn off our inbound trail and ascend
to the lake of Shurim Tso (16,043ft),
below the Langma La. Camp.
Day 16: Crossing the
Langma La (17,447ft) we have great views
in all directions before descending to
Landrubling. Camp.
Day 17: After a short
hike to Kharta, we board our vehicles
for the drive to the Rongbuk Valley and
the north side of Everest (16,404ft).
Camp.
Day 18: A day for rest
or exploration around the Rongbuk Monastery
and Everest’s north side basecamp.
Camp.
Day 19: A spectacular
drive across the main Himalayan divide
brings us to the border town of Zangmu.
Day 20: Drive Zhangmu
- Kathmandu
Day 21: Free day in Kathmandu
Day 22: Departure

Trek
Cost includes:

Twin sharing accommodation at standard
hotels in Lhasa, full board meal arrangements
while on trekking with tents cooked
/ prepared by sherpa crews, services
of an English speaking guide, yak &
yak men for carriage of the loads, all
monuments entrances paid, private transportation
for the entire tour and trek, all government
taxes, Chinese Visa fee, Tibet Travel
Permit, flight tickets to Lhasa.
