bardia national park The Bardia National Park is situated in the far west, Terai region of Nepal. At first the Bardia National Park was not the National park but was a hunting reserve. The park has got the status of National park only after 1998 in order to conserve the diminishing species of birds, animals and also flora and fauna. The Bardia National Park, covering an area of 968 sq. km., is the biggest and peaceful area in the whole Terai region. The Park is completely bordered with thick Sal trees, carpeted grass and meadow. At the north, the park is bordered by the Churia hill, west by Karnali River and south by traditional Tharu villages. The park includes the Babai River.

The jungle safari to Bardia National Park is considered as one of the best Jungle Safari in the world. Besides, Bardia National Park is one of the best wildlife reserve centre in Asia and is the safest locale of more than 30 species of mammals including Civets, Wild dogs, Hyenas, Langur, Rhesus monkey, Otters, Sloth bears, Wild boars, Deer and Blue bulls, 350 species of birds including Egret, Cormorants, Geese, Storks, King-fisher, Jungle fowls, Bengal florican, Mesia (Silver-eared), Saurus crane etc. and various species of wildlife. Moreover, the park got famed after preserving successfully the most endangered animals in the world like One-horned Rhinoceros, Bengal Tiger, Wild elephants, Black buck, Swamp deer, Gangetic Dolphins and Gharial Crocodile.

The Bardia National Park is not as crowed as the Chitwan National Park. The Park contains only a few numbers of hotels, resorts and lodges but is equally well-equipped as in Chitwan. Thus, doing jungle safari to Bardia National Park is not hard. Mostly, the resorts are at the border of the park and while the trip, other several jungle activities are possible like, Jungle drive, Jungle walk, Bird watching, Village tour, Cultura program, Canoe trip, Elephant or Ox-cart ride etc.
