After the grand success of Visit Nepal year 1998, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has come up with an ambitious plan, ‘Visit Nepal Tourism Year 2011’, to attract the tourists from all over the world.

In an effort to endorse Nepal as a tourist destination and attract maximum tourists, the government has made arrangements to relinquish the visa fee for 2011. The government has also intended to initiate air services to Nepal from Riyadh, Lhasa, Gwanjhau, Frankfurt and London by the end of 2010 so as to offer improved air connectivity. Moreover, the two way flights between Mumbai, Shanghai and Tokyo are also starting since March.

Indisputably, visiting Nepal once is not enough. Additionally the “Nepal Tourism Year 2011” is a three year program. The main function of this line up is to encourage the tourism sector of Nepal nationally and internationally. Besides, upholding the Nepalese art and culture, bio-diversity and stakeholder business through E-marketing worldwide are other imperative goals of this campaign.

Objectives of this Campaign:

  • To ascertain Nepal as a best holiday destination with a definite brand image.
  • Perk up and enlarge tourism allied infrastructures in existing and fresh tourism destinations.
  • Improve and increase the ability of service providers.
  • To endorse the domestic tourism for sustainable growth of the industry.
