The Seti is an excellent two-day trip
in an isolated area, with beautiful jungle and plenty
of easy rapids. It is an excellent river for bird-watchers
and those interested in the abundance of nature found
on this trip.
This is the perfect river in which
to learn to kayak. The water is warm and the rapids
are class 2 or 2+. We offer Kayak clinics in this
river for the deserving participants. The logical
starting point is Damauli on the kathmandu - Pokhara(Prithivi)Hwy
between Mugling and Pokhara. This gentle river has
plenty of small and straightforward rapids. During
the monsoon months the intensity of the rapids increases
and attracts a radically different set of rafters.
The Seti is also considered as an ideal trip for those
wanting to experience some of the stunning river scenery
in Nepal without the intensity of complex or challenging
rapids and is also very well suited to family trips.
The 35km river action takes 2 days. The take-out point
at Gaighat is approximately 4 - 5 hours from both
Kathmandu and Pokhara. One can extend his trip to
Chitwan National Park after the end of the rafting
or proceed to Kathmandu.
